Meet Out Expert: Dr. Roberto J. Hernandez

Dr. Hernandez is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with over twenty years of experience in clinical practice, hospital leadership, and medical education. He completed his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio – Regional Academic Health Center and has since established himself as a respected leader in the Rio Grande Valley medical community. His service includes multiple leadership roles, most notably as Chief of Staff at Valley Baptist Medical Center, and over two decades dedicated to training medical students and Internal Medicine residents, many of whom now practice throughout the region.

Dr. Hernandez’s interest in aesthetic medicine began when he sought to help his daughter address a skin concern. The successful results sparked a passion that evolved into a new professional focus. This personal experience inspired a deeper exploration into skincare science and non-invasive aesthetic treatments. Over the past several years, he has completed more than 15 advanced certifications in aesthetic procedures, skincare, and regenerative therapies.

Today, as the founder and medical director of Beyond Aesthetics, Dr. Hernandez integrates the principles of Internal Medicine with the artistry of aesthetics to provide safe, evidence-based, and highly personalized care. His practice reflects a commitment to helping patients achieve healthy, natural, and confident results through innovation, precision, and compassion.

My name is Olga Lydia Anaya, a Licensed Esthetician and Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) with over 20 years of experience in the medical field. My passion has always been helping people feel better about themselves, and I love being able to combine my healthcare background with my passion for skincare.

My experience in the medical field has taught me the importance of providing safe, personalized care while paying close attention to each person’s individual needs. As an esthetician, I enjoy helping clients improve the health of their skin through customized treatments, education, and home care recommendations.
